Privacy Policy
Audio stays on your PC and local network.
WinAirCast does not operate a cloud audio service, does not include advertising, and does not intentionally upload audio, device lists, settings, pairings, or diagnostics.
Information processed locally
WinAirCast may process the following information on the Windows computer where it is installed:
- Windows system audio or selected-process audio, solely for streaming to user-selected AirPlay receivers.
- Local-network AirPlay discovery records, including device names, addresses, capabilities, pairing state, volume, latency, and codec preferences.
- Application settings, saved device preferences, pairing credentials, diagnostic logs, and user-exported diagnostic reports.
- Microsoft Store purchase, license, and trial status when installed from Microsoft Store.
No cloud account
WinAirCast does not require a WinAirCast account to discover devices or stream audio.
No ads
The Microsoft Store version is a paid app with a 15-day trial, not an ad-supported product.
No analytics by default
Diagnostics are exported only when you choose to create and share a report.
Local network communication
The app communicates directly with AirPlay receivers on your local network using discovery, control, timing, and audio streaming traffic needed for AirPlay playback.
Microsoft Store licensing
Purchases, trials, refunds, and licensing checks are handled by Windows and Microsoft Store services under Microsoft's terms and privacy practices.
Storage and deletion
Settings, pairing information, and application logs are stored in the user's WinAirCast application-data directory.
You can clear saved AirPlay pairings from the app settings. Uninstalling WinAirCast or deleting its application-data directory removes locally stored WinAirCast data, subject to Windows and Microsoft Store behavior.
Diagnostics
Diagnostic reports are created only when you explicitly export them. They remain local until you choose to share them and may include app version, Windows version, audio service status, Store license status, device counts, and configuration summaries.
Commercial distribution
WinAirCast is distributed as a proprietary commercial application. Buying or installing the app does not grant access to the WinAirCast source code. Third-party components remain governed by their own license terms.
